People sometimes. Up to 20 logos, with no hint of direction and they still don't like them. Douche-baggery IMO.
ANYWAYS, I would just like to thank all those who have been featuring my artwork lately! I've gotten so many and I truly appreciate it. I am feeling so much better about my artwork lately and the satisfaction from my watchers helps tremendously. Currently I am working on left over CG and sketch commissions. During that process, I am working on a secret project with a commissioner for Gaia that has to be done by the end of the year. I sincerely hope I can get that out and about. She is so excited and was so persistent to have me work with her. Such a sweet-heart. It's my first time taking on such a challenge. Hopefully she will allow me to give you guys a peek!

You're all so wonderful to not be able to see, no?
SO YES, commissions, commissions! Some of them are hard, some of them are not. Outside of that, I'd like to get working on a piece for my mother/sister for September 11th (as well as depict the idea I had for my sister's web-site layout!).
I hope you all had a safe, wonderful Canada Day and 4th of July! I myself went to Las Olas Blvd in Fort Lauderdale to watch the fireworks on the beach. It was lovely to get out of the house. This weekend I will hopefully be seeing Bruno with my two younger brothers and celebrating both my youngest brother's birthday (going on 13!) AND, AAAAAND, my KITTEN, Basil (who will be 1!)
The only sad news I have is... I did not win Michael Jackson memorial tickets. I would've begged someone to nab me plane tickets! (hahaha!)
As always, check out my blog for nicer rants and doodles- please:

I know what you mean about clients "I dunno what I want, but YOU should know because designers can obviously read minds!" Ugh...

oh.
Before the kiddo landed, I used to do contract work in gfx quite a bit. One of my biggest clients at one point was a software company who needed icons for in their program. We went though 20-something versions, I got paid (and well enough for the frustration) then some exec came back form vacation with a whole different idea for the images used. Not my fault- so I got to start all over agian with a new theme, got to do 20+ versions of it again, and got paid again.
This was typical there.. by biggest job for them was a 9 foot wide poster. They even handled the printing. And they NEVER USED IT, again, due to a change in the theme they were going for. It was an awsome pic tho... I wish I had gotten to see the full sized print.
