I got my start posting on the internet here, in the early 2000s. It was a modest start, but it was also the early days where all people cared about was pageview numbers and drawing for themselves. Back then, I was constantly drawing for ME and expressing what I was going through in my artwork. Which was when I began my yearly 9/11 drawings. Some of them had even been chosen for daily deviations (does that still exist on here), and soon, many of you came to expect it every year and returned to this account, whether I was active or not, as the years went by. Many of you still do. I may forget to post my work here, or any updates at all...but I think of you who return here to see that one single post a year that marks that anniversary of my emotional journey. So this is a thank you to all of those who come here in search of that art and for thinking of me, my family and most importantly, my sister. A Great Man
For those unaware, for the last some months, I was taking care of my Father on and off during his stays between hospitals and skilled nursing rehabs. Back in June he became ill and nearly lost his life after being on life support for almost two weeks. He never fully recovered, especially due to the skilled nursing facilities inept and horrid care levels (thanks to our wonderful healthcare system! MURICA). I tried so hard to get him back to his level of health I previously had accomplished but his body was tired of fighting and he passed away last Wednesday. For those that know me, my Father taught me to draw when I was just a young girl. He always encouraged me, bought me so many art supplies, showed me different mediums and engaged in painting with me as well. He is the reason I am the artist I am today and always told me how proud he was of me. Going through his belongings, I noticed he kept every single silly hand-made card I ever made him. Right down to a poorly drawn Scooby Doo

Hey Guys! I know I do not actively participate here as much as I used to, but I do browse around and check comments. To be quite honest, it's not because I do not have the time, but the...new layout is absolutely confusing and horrible. Figured while I'm sitting at my desk and browsing DA, I'd give a little journal update. I do check up here quite often, but it's quite difficult to upload art from my ipad to here, so...I suppose I am neglecting DA. I'm sorry! I typically always advocate for its usage given how amazing it does in search engines. I give it a pass for the porn and fetish art. lol!
Anyway, if you DO want more often updates, I am moreso focused on building my instagram at the moment. Years of building up my DA, I neglected the vast majority of other art platforms and now I'm paying the price. SO yes, please

I'm not an artist, and I haven't talked to you in maybe 5 years, but I just wanted to say that I think this is a wonderful project. As a Veteran who enlisted because of 9/11, I am especially touched by this. Best of luck compiling enough art work and thank you.
